Department:  Research Facilities Planning & Implementation (RFPI)/FMPRO
Reports to:  Manager RFPI
Work Model: Hybrid 3 days/week onsite  
Hours: 37.5h/week
Salary: $36.74 to $45.93
Status: Temporary 1217 months) FullTime

The Research Facilities Planning and Implementation (RFPS)/FMPRO department at the University Health Network is seeking a temporary fulltime Junior Project Manager/Coordinator to oversee smallscale research projects. Reporting to the departmental manager and project team the key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Planning executing and managing a portfolio of smallscale research projects
  • Research Application: Utilizing research knowledge and experience to achieve project goals
  • Comprehensive Oversight: Overseeing all aspects of project management.
  • Project Planning: Developing plans to meet defined project objectives
  • Stakeholder Management: Identifying developing and managing stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Scheduling: Coordinating project schedules
  • Budgeting: Developing project estimates and budgets
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Managing monitoring and reporting on project progress status and outcomes including schedule functionality quality and costs
  • Risk Management: Assessing project risks and escalating as necessary
  • CrossFunctional Duties: Performing additional duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering or recognized equivalent
  • Preferred scientific background and/or training

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical and related experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a research lab environment
  • Proficiency in software programs including MS Office and MS Project
  • Experience working in a hospital is an asset
