What you will be doing:
- Adhering to all Ingram and other regulatory policies.
- Actively participates in preshift meetings and safety huddles.
- Properly completes all equipment inspection checklist(s) and presents to Warehouse Manager or his designee for review.
- Keeping work area(s) safe clean and orderly.
- Reviewing vessel traffic reports daily
- Reviewing and analyzing vessel & terminal orders
- Based on material to ship locations and various other factors design a daily shipping strategy
- Ensuring that all items are received into the warehouse from delivery vehicles and other conveyances in a safe manner.
- Reviewing all received shipments for accuracy
- Identifying discrepancies to quantities and any damage to received items and conspicuously note on delivery paperwork prior to signing and reported to direct Manager.
- Putting away received items into designated areas.
- Consolidating items into the best configuration for shipment.
- Ensuring that all labels placards and shipping papers are properly prepared and attached to shipments or conveyed to shipper
- Hazardous and other regulated material must be handled in accordance with all Ingram and governmental regulations.
- Preparing items for shipping by packing securely stretch wrapping banding etc.
- Loading shipments with forklift or by hand as appropriate.
- Reviewing returns by separating junk from items that may be returned for vendor credit
- Preparing items to be returned for credit for pickup by vendor.
- Properly disposing of nonreturnable items in accordance with Ingram and governmental regulations
- Reporting any unsafe condition or activity to management.
- Supporting department activities with regular and prompt attendance
- Fulfilling warehouse POs and Inventory pick requests
- Conducting inventory cycle counts and reporting
- Organizing materials and supplies in logical and efficient staging areas
- Managing special distribution needs as required
- Maintaining a working knowledge of stocked products active vessels locations and vendors
- Cleaning and maintaining warehouse
- Working overtime call out as needed after hours and weekends
Qualifications :
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understands and abides by all applicable Ingram and governmental regulations pertaining to associate safety and warehouse operation
- Must be trained in safe forklift operation
- Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and Internal Customers

- Must be able to walk up and down steep grades
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Some travel required
- Weekend work and overtime are required as needed
- Working and standing on concrete surfaces for extended periods required
