Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a transforming industry
We are seeking a skilled Senior CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both CNC and manual equipment along with the ability to program document and inspect the components produced. This role involves maintaining material flow in a fastpaced production environment ensuring component quality and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to drive continuous improvement.
In this role:
- Program setup and operate CNC lathe / vertical machining centers manual machines (lathes drill presses mills routers grinding machines etc. and measuring equipment to produce quality parts within deadlines
- Converts designs and drawings into code programming language for CNC equipment. Validates programs to established specifications.
- Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined sequence of operations and machines needed by studying specifications such as blueprints sketches damaged parts or descriptions of parts.
- Inspects parts tooling and material to specifications.
- Maintains area equipment and tooling in safe clean and satisfactory operating condition.
- Monitors work to ensure that machine is functioning properly.
- Works from draft drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts as well as for tooling or prototype equipment.
- Identify production standards for setup and machine times
On your first day well expect that youll have:
- Minimum of 3 years machining experience including ability to setup / operate preferred. Strong knowledge of machining machining practices tooling drafting CNC machines controls programming measuring equipment and techniques.
- Ability to program CNC lathes and VMC machines
- Ability to troubleshoot CNC operating/programming issues.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication as well as midlevel math skills.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fastpaced changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multitasks prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
- Strong organizational and followup skills as well as attention to detail.
- AA degree in Machining / Mechanical Technology equivalent trade school / military training or comparable related experience preferred.
