Job Description
AWS is set to introduce the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) marking a significant development in utility computing (UC). To spearhead this initiative we are actively seeking experienced Technical Program Managers with a strong background in program management and working with Software Engineers. As part of the AWS Managed Operations team you will play a pivotal role in delivering highavailability AWS services including EC2 S3 Dynamo Lambda and Bedrock exclusively for EU customers. European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC).
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC Managed Operations engineers engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Eligibility requirement
* Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
* Successful applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland.
* Amazon will provide relocation support for successful applicants relocating within the European Union.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will work closely with the software development and product teams to deliver high quality scalable products deployed around the world. You will collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all the stakeholders to assemble project teams assign responsibilities identify appropriate resources needed and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones. You will also assess risks anticipate bottlenecks provide escalation management make tradeoffs balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risktaking behavior to maximize business benefit. Successful candidates will have a technical background be detail driven and have excellent problemsolving abilities.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical or business field
6 years of experience managing technical programs across crossfunctional development teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience in project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management.
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience in software architecture and system design
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to scale the businesses and provide reporting to senior leadership.
Strong sense of ownership including an ability to promote operational excellence.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations.
Experience with AWS platforms services and design patterns.
