GeneralPurpose:Responsible for assisting the Store Manager in selling specific related or general linesof merchandise by performing thefollowing duties personally orthrough subordinate supervisors.
Essential Functions:
Be fully aware and positively promote the Mission Vision and Valuesof Easter Seals Goodwill ND Inc. (ESGWND).
Must be able to work 3640 hours per week in rotating shifts evenings and weekends (rotating depending on needs).
Assist the Store Manager with store operations including supervision ofTeamMembersengaged in sales work taking ofinventories reconciling cashwithsales receipts maintaining operating records and preparing daily record of transactions.
Acts as store manager when the Manager is absent.
Handles customer/donor complaints appropriately.
Inadditiontosupervisoryfunction performs store clerk processing and cashierduties as needed.
Ensures that quality customer service is providedto all customersdonors and Team Members.
Followsallcustomer service guidelines; strivestoprovide exceptional customerservice at all times.
Greetcustomers/donorsassists them in all ways possible and ensures they feel appreciated.
Coordinates production needs to maintain adequate supplies to meet store needs.
Coordinates processing activities ofTeam Members.
Provides training and assistance as needed.
Strivesto meet allassigned goals.
AssignsTeam Members toperformspecificduties. Provides clear directions and adequate supervision.
Locks and secures store as assigned.
EnsuresTeam Members comply with established security sales and recordkeepingprocedures and practices.
Follows and enforces policies procedures and workrules.
Maintains safe working conditions and properly trains Team Members toperformtasks in a safe manner using an established safety program. Follows and promotes all safety standards.
Directly supervises 220 Team Members in the store. Carriesoutsupervisory responsibilities inaccordancewith the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities includetrainingTeamMembersaddressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications/BasicPosition Requirements:
Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED);oroneto two yearsrelated experience and/ortraining;or equivalent educationandexperience.
The ability to work a flexiblescheduleincludingnightsholidays and weekends as well as filling inon an emergency basis.
Ability to accept frequent interruptionsdueto public contact
The ability toworkinan environment consistingof odors dust and extreme fluctuationin temperatures.
Provide an environment freeof sexual/discriminatory harassment.
Must be able to accommodate two2hour periods of standingtwisting bending reaching and sitting.Must be abletolift 35lbs without help.
Computer skills including MicrosoftWord and Excel are helpfulbutnot required.
Ability to read and interpret documentssuch as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability towrite routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense understanding tocarryoutinstructionsfurnished in written oral ordiagram form. Ability to deal with problems involvingseveral concrete variablesinstandardized situations.
CPR certified; training provided
Valid State driverslicense and proofofinsuranceto drive personal car oncompanybusiness.
