Job Description
Clean Harbors in Winnipeg MBis seeking an Equipment Operator/Driver to join their team! This role is responsible to drive/operate Wet Vac Trucks; Dry Vac and Steam Trucks to and from worksites performing pre / post Trip inspections and performing roadside repairs. This role is also labor intensive that includes tasks associated with hazardous waste cleanup siteremediation equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. Working in confined spaces for Tank and Vessel cleaning.
- Please note candidates must be able to work a flexible schedules for this role (overtime evenings weekends etc.
- Experience with Manual Transmission is a requirement.

Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various equipment primarily our Wet Vac Truck Dry Vac and Steam Truck to and from work sites.
- Tank and Vessel Cleaning.
- All tasks are associated with hazardous waste cleanup.
- Individually maneuvering large hoses.
- Perform Pre / Post Trip inspections
- Performs emergency response and regularly scheduled activities including but not limited to chemical and water spills etiological and biological contamination tank cleaning equipment decontamination etc.
- ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notify supervisor of any mechanical failure or problem of equipment.
- Operates light and heavy equipment including but not limited to pumps vacuum equipment oil spill boom generators bobcats etc.; Handles various hand tools and powered (pneumatic and electrical hydraulic) industrial tools including pressure washers and saws.
- Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications
- Willing to travel and work on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
- Class 3 License required.
- Previous experience operating wet/dry vacuum combo steamer and/or Hydrovac.
- Ability to drive manual transmission required.
- Ability to drive manual split transmission required.
- Previous industrial experience is required.
- Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR H2S Alive CSTS etc. are an asset.
