About The Opportunity
Our Americas team (North & South America) is leading Micromines growth plans and they are currently searching for a Principle Consultant Geology located in Vancouver. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality presales activity for Micromine Origin including technical product demonstrations tenders proof of concept model builds software evaluation campaigns promotions conferences and events.
Micromine Origin is a comprehensive exploration modelling and resource estimation solution.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide support to Business Development in the technical aspects of our solution selling process (discovery solution development demonstrations etc.
- Create and present strategic technical demonstrations to customers with solution and value focus
- Project manage proof of concepts focusing on change management
- Work with the customer to ensure the software is being used to its optimum proof of concept
- Act as point of contact for product team to identify and document technical requirements of the product for the region
- Travel as required; domestic international and mine site
About You
You will have a background in mining geology positions.
You have had exposure to client facing positions or have proven communication presentation and relationship building skills.
Other key skills experience and qualifications:
- Possess a tertiary degree in Geology Earth Sciences or Engineering
- 10 years of experience with and detailed understanding of geological or mining software solutions
- 1015 years of operational geology experience on a mine site
- Experienced in resource estimation and grade control
- Experience working on site for a Tier 1 mining company
- Clientfacing experience such as consulting preferred
- Written and verbal proficiency in Englishrequired Spanish language skills preferred
