Job Description

License/Certification/Registration:
*Valid Class D drivers license for driving the Childrens Simulation Car. Must have a satisfactory driving history and maintain that record requiring an annual motor vehicle record check.
*Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) certification a plus.
*Current Class B commercial drivers license in good standing a plus but not required.
*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30days of start date.

Education:
*Associates degree or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:
*Current clinical experience (ie. licensed EMT RT or commensurate license or training in bachelors in medicine and surgery MBBS or commensurate training).
*Experience with Simulation based education (not just computer software and technology).
*Experience working with and maintaining an inventory system.
*Experience with hazardous materials compliance.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
*Basic knowledge of medical terminology equipment and supplies willingness to learn more complex medical terminology equipment and supplies.
*Creative problem solver.
*Highly organized detail oriented efficient and multifunctional.
*Working knowledge of Windows based computer and hardware and software based AV systems.
*Working knowledge of standard Windows based PC applications required.
*Strong interpersonal leadership and organizational skills.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Strong problemsolving skills in working with various professionals from varied backgrounds.
*Able to maintain confidentiality display diplomacy be selfdirected and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently with potential for frequent interruptions.
*Working knowledge of standard Windows based PC applications required.
*Strong customer service skills are essential; enjoy working with people.
*Contribute to a positive work environment.
*Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to change.
*Maintain data confidentiality and security.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or oncall work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Position Summary

Childrens Simulation Operations SpecialistCasual supports simulation services targeted at meeting the strategic goals of the Simulation Program. The Simulation Operations SpecialistCasual will report directory to the Operations Manager and work in collaboration with the Program Director and Program Medical Director.

This position will work at the following locations depending on assignment: Childrens Business Campus (Edina MN) Childrens MinnesotaMinneapolis Campus and Childrens MinnesotaSt. Paul Campus.

Primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
*Plans implements and coordinates simulationbased programs in conjunction with simulation education specialists and other educators.
*Responsible for the simulation technologies which include manikin and AV operation and maintaining knowledge skill and proficiency in all aspects of technology.
*Maintains the equipment and supply inventory of a multisite simulation program.
*Ensures established standards of quality and performance are upheld within the overall goals and activities of Childrens Simulation program.
*Demonstrates a high level of independent action and initiative as well as creative thinking to design and carry out these activities.
*Works as a team with other simulation operations specialists and simulation education specialists in the orchestration of simulations within a busy multisite simulation program.
