Job title: Patient Accounts Representative
Schedule: Fulltime 80 hours per pay period; MondayFriday 8:004:30pm
Weekend rotation: No Weekends
Holiday rotation: Paid Holidays
Position Summary:
The Patient Accounts Representative position makes sure patient accounts have uptodate information so billing and claims are correct.
Position Responsibilities:
- Send out claims to insurance providers.
- Ensure patient account information is correct.
- Work claims and denials to make sure proper payment is received for services rendered.
- Take payments from patients.
- Answering patient phone calls regarding billing questions about their insurance and/or statements.
- Reach out to insurance companies regarding claims and coverage.
- Mail/fax proof and verification to insurance companies for claims to be accepted and paid.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree or equivalent business experience preferred.
- 2 years of related work experience preferred.
- Experience working in a medical billing required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
- Knowledge of medical insurance systems (Medicare Medicaid etc. required.
- Selfstarter with excellent interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills.
