The Bureau of Internal Audit is looking for a candidate to function as a grant audit expert and training lead. Using their knowledge and experience the ideal candidate will prepare our staff auditors to understand the States current and emerging grant risks and auditing best practices so our team can help various agencies promptly respond to and mitigate these risks. The ideal applicant is a selfstarter who enjoys leading/supervising projects sharing their knowledge to make others better training (our team statewide auditors and other stakeholders) and who has extensive knowledge of Uniform Guidance Green Book the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act grant agreements and has extensive experience in performing grant audits.
Under general direction serves as a Functional Training Lead training junior staff auditors to conduct routine nonroutine and complex riskbased audits over grant/federal funding transactional areas according to the Bureaus policies and procedures and internal audit standards.
Serves as full line Audit supervisor.
Independently performs complex and/or nonroutine audits over grant/federal funding transactional areas according to the Bureaus policies and procedures and internal audit standards.
Meets continuing professional education requirements.
Offers grant related guidance and best practice considerations to CMS and its client agencies.
Assists the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or the Assistant Deputy Director of Internal Audit by preparing audit procedures audit manuals and audit program templates that will be used by the Internal Audit Division.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
