Brief Description of Duties
University of the district of Columbia (UDC) Division of Science and Mathematics (DSAM) of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is seeking for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the field of Physical Chemistry starting from as early as Fall 2024 in the Chemistry Program. The Chemistry Program offers an American Chemical Society (ACS) accredited Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Therefore the position is open to candidates from all areas of physical chemistry who possess an ACS teaching certification. Candidates with research background connected to biophysical chemistry are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and deliver very engaging chemistry course curricula and participate actively in research and grantsmanship in a way that advances the mission of our institution.
