You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community including two crisis nurseries an emergency shelter permanent and transitional housing a food and clothing pantry street outreach and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
Our Crisis Nursery Program is the only one in New York state that offers free lowbarrier immediate access that does not require a referral from any other entity. The purpose of this program is to provide childcare in a calm safe environment to reduce the trauma on the children of families experiencing a crisis including (but not limited to): medical emergencies unexpected illness accidents unemployment mental health episodes unexpected death domestic violence homelessness legal issues unstable/unsafe housing. Our two locations in Rochester one in the southwest quadrant (CNGR) and one in the northeast quadrant (Owens House) are open 24/7 yearround.
The Crisis Nursery Program Manager is responsible for the operation and programming of both Crisis Nursery locations. The Program Manager in partnership with the Assistant Managers ensures that both sites provide high quality services. Duties include the supervision of staff volunteers and interns along with a variety of administrative responsibilities including adherence to licensing compliance maintaining program outcomes developing and implementing child development and enrichment programming and creating positive community connections. This is a fulltime 35 hours per week) twelve 12 month position.
The Crisis Nursery Program Manager also participates in the OnCall RHY Supervisor rotation (for 1 week every 56 weeks). This emergency response system is intended to provide afterhours and weekend support to the RHY programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in human services education or a related field. An equivalent combination of education employment and life experience will also be considered. Supervisory/program management experience is required.
