CNC Machinist (Millers)
Overview:We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Millers) on behalf of one of our clients within the precision engineering and manufacturing industry. The role involves programming setting and operating CNC milling machinery to produce components as per customer drawings. This position offers a competitive starting rate with additional shift allowances and a range of benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Program set up and operate CNC milling machinery
- Utilize manual milling machinery and inspection equipment to ensure precise adherence to sizes tolerances and surface finishes
- Play a critical role in meeting customer needs through meticulous work
- Operate within a small skilled team and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Timeserved Miller with recent CNC experience
- Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Fanuc programming language
- Effective communication skills and customer service experience
- Right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance
Daytoday:You will work 5 days per week Monday Friday with a weekly rotation between early and back shifts. The early shift runs from Monday to Thursday from 6am to 2pm and Friday from 6am to 11am. The back shift runs from Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 10pm and Friday from 11am to 4pm.
