Job Description

VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) Machinist plays a key role in precision manufacturingespecially for components used in piping systems heat exchangers and industrial equipment.

Heres what the job typically involves:

Core Responsibilities

  • Operate VTL machines to produce high-precision metal parts based on engineering drawings
  • Set up and adjust tooling and machine parameters for each job
  • Inspect parts using calipers micrometers and other precision instruments
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet dimensional specs
  • Collaborate with experienced machinists on setups and troubleshooting
  • Document production data and quality checks
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Fanuc controls and CNC programming preferred
  • Strong understanding of geometry and machining principles
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Good communication and organizational skills
