Job Description
Education/Work Experience:
*High school diploma preferred
*1year of experience in a patient care setting preferred
Skills and Abilities:
*Outstanding professional and positive customer service skills essential
*Positive attitude
*Exceptional problem solving skills
*Strong computer skills such as Microsoft word excel or hospital technology systems
*Ability to coach others with hospital technology systems
*Competent with basic medical terminology
*Demonstrates excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with a clear understanding of English language (reading writing and speaking)
*Selfdirected organized and problem solver.
*Ability to multitask direct and support information processes on patient care units work independently and within a team

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or oncall work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Department Overview
Position Summary
The Unit Operations Coordinator is a pivotal front line individual who provides exemplary customer service to families staff providers and visitors both inperson and by phone. Answer questions warmly promptly and correctly and problem solve as needed. Provides first response to phone calls that come into the units arranges for deliveries to patients rooms directs visitors to their destinations and maintains a safe welcoming environment at all times modeling service excellence to the organization. This individual is the key liaison to other departments and provides other disciplines with the tools for their jobs. The Unit Operations Coordinator supports patient care on the unit(s) and provides overall administrative support for the unit. This individual is also the unit(s) technology resource.
This role may be required to float to other hospital departments as needed based on need.

Department Overview
Our Minneapolis Infant Care Center is a 41bed infant critical care unit for complex neonatal step down patients and infant medical surgical patients under 1 year of age. We welcome and support families in the care and decision making for their infants. As part of the largest Mother Baby program in the state we work closely with our specialized interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to the care of infants with lifechanging diagnoses. In this unit we care for patients along their continuum of recovery from neonatal intensive care to recovery of infants after surgery including caring for changing physical and emotional needs as we prepare the patient and the family to return home. Our complex patient population requires cardiorespiratory monitoring airway preservation including ventilated tracheostomy patients medication management of complex gastrointestinal findings including short bowel and complex feeding plans as well as management of central lines. Our staff combines a moderate technical skill set with a familycentered approach when caring for our population of patients. We value teamwork open communication safety and respect.
