About the Role:

Lecture and Field Education Coordinator (Social work Field Education) is a pivotal role that focuses on enhancing the experiential learning aspects of academic programs especially those involving practical or fieldbased components. This position involves collaboration with faculty students and external stakeholders to ensure highquality experiential learning experiences aligned with accreditation standards and industry expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and delivery of workshops and training materials to students and host agency staff manage student progress through liaison meetings and contribute to the Colleges continuous development as a flexible and responsible provider of highquality education in a competitive market.
  • Cultivate and enhance the Colleges relationships with industry stakeholders government departments professional bodies and the broader community.
  • Assist in the development of strategic directions for the Social Work Field Education group fostering collaboration mentorship and a positive working environment.
  • Participate in research initiatives and in facilitating ongoing professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.
  • Assist in development and implementation of policies governing field education ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards within the Australian health context.

Qualifications:

  • An AASW approved postgraduate degree in social work (a Ph.D. is also desirable).

  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements relevant to field education in the Australian higher education context.

  • Specialization in areas such as experiential learning field education curriculum development or a related discipline is often preferred.

Experience:

  • minimum of 5 years fulltime (or equivalent) field experience in Social Work.

  • Experience in academia with a focus on experiential learning field education or related areas.
