What youll do at OhioMHAS:
- Delivers mandatory Core Training to employees and other individuals at Summit Behavioral Healthcare
- Oversees clinical education and development as well as the evaluation of patient status.
- Educates clinical staff guiding the assessment and evaluation of nursing needs for patients.
- Develops coordinates and monitors inservice nursing training programs for nursing and other clinical staff.
- Designs and creates course objectives outlines and lesson plans while teaching both basic and advanced nursing theory skills methods and techniques.
- Maintains comprehensive staff education records including teaching plans handouts references and attendee performance documentation.
- Serves on committees (e.g. Continuing Education Committee etc. acts as liaison for Schools & Colleges of Nursing; attends and participates in meetings; workshops &/or seminars; prepares and distributes documents (e.g. reports schedules); responds to inquiries; order supplies equipment & materials relevant to staff education and development needs;performs other duties as required
This is anhourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) with a pay range of14on theOhio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. The hours for this position are MondayFriday 8am4:30pm (evening and night shift required based on training schedules).This position is located within our

Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code; 12 mos. exp. in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in counseling; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations.
Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements but not for the mandated licensure.
