The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Program Management and Administration is looking for a longterm nonpermanent Accountant 3 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
What you will be doing:
This positionis responsible for tracking and resolving financial and time discrepancies related to payroll. Incumbent will perform an indepth review of labor distribution profiles for approximately 1500 employees; create process and procedure for balancing unique suspense appropriations and for zerobalancing other appropriations; and assist with rate closeout and implementation activity.Our organization mission and culture:

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:- Problem Solving: Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.
- Auditing: Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and procedures for conducting financial and compliance economy and efficiency and program audits.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of the principles methods and techniques of financial analysis forecasting and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling earned value management and evaluating key financial indicators trends and historical data.
