Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Backend Developer (Python and Devops) to join our team. As a Backend Developer you will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining backend components of our applications. You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality scalable solutions that meet our users needs.
Responsibilites:
Develop Information Extraction Modules:
- Use Python Beautiful Soup and Selenium to download and parse large volumes of documents from pharmaceutical regulatory websites.
- Follow processes outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Integrate With Cloud Services:
- Utilize AWS services such as Lambda ECS S3 DynamoDB and OpenSearch to process and store data.
- Create and deploy microservices using serverless architectures.
Troubleshoot and Debug:
- Diagnose and resolve issues across the backend stack ensuring reliability and performance.
Collaborate With AI Services:
- Work with AI services such as ChatGPT to codevelop solutions and enhance platform capabilities
Version Control & CI/CD:
- Utilize GitHub for version control and work with CI/CD pipelines to deploy services efficiently.
Independent Work & Task Management:
- Work remotely tasks using the Linear app and work independently with a high degree of accountability.
Team Collaboration:
- Participate in daily Kanban standup meetings to discuss progress and blocker.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in computer science Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of handson experience in backend development with a strong focus on microservices architecture and API development
- Technical Skills:
a. Proficient in writing and testing Python code
b. Proficient in using AWS services including Lambda S3 DynamoDB OpenSearch ECS
c. Proficient in using an IDE such Visual Studio Code
- Collaboration Skills:
a. Proficient in codeveloping with AI services such as ChatGPT
b. Ability to estimate and track tasks using project management software
c. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
- ProblemSolving:
a. Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Github workflows to enable CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiar with microservices architecture using Lambda and ECS / Fargate serverless technologies.
- Familiar with LLMs and Hugging Face models.
- Familiar with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch.
- Familiar with Docker.
- Interest in learning about the pharmaceutical regulatory ecosystem.
