Heavy Construction Equipment Operator (NOC 73400

Job Location:
- Various Site Locations in Stony Plain and surrounding areas AB
Wage: $34 to $35.75 /hour (based on skills and experience/salary increases as per company policy). Profitsharing bonus program as per company policy.
Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal employment fulltime 44 to 60 hours per week (weather dependent) Overtime Morning Day Evening Weekend Night
Benefits: CORE Coverage (Basic Life LTD Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Available after 3 months). Upon eligibility for CORE Coverage Supplementary Health and Basic Dental Coverage are available after 9 months employment.

Job requirements:
Language: English
Education: No education is required
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent training
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding Attention to detail Fastpaced environment Overtime required Handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs
Work Site: Outdoors Dusty Noisy Traffic Job entails working close to buildings utilities etc.
Personal Suitability: Team Player
Work Setting: Road building in residential commercial institutional.
Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Asphalt Screed Paver or Grader
Area of work experience: Asphalt finishing Fine grading and finishing Rough grading
Security and Safety: Drug and Alcohol policy in effect
Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS)
- Complete onboard and other logs
- Conduct preoperational checks on equipment.
- Participate in the preparation of accident reports
- Secure special attachments to equipment.
- Operate twoway radios and other communication equipment.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Monitor safety conditions.
