Position Description
Serco is hiring a Project Leaderto support new and existing tasking for the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) program in Newport RI. In this role you will help manage the daily of technical instructions to provide services for NUWC Code 34 protected and wideband MILSATCOM systems and subsystems.
You will communicate directly with the customer regarding program status help manage program financial and schedule requirements and report task status to upper management customers and stakeholders.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance post employment
In this role you will:
- Coordinate technical services across multiple Warfare Centers and DoD Components in the research development test and evaluation (RDT&E) production and sustainment of MILSATCOM systems and subsystems.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Responsible for briefing customer user and upper management on all facets of the program.
- Frequent customer user and upper management interaction is routine.
- Direct the work of functional employees in the of the assigned projects while establishing and monitoring performance to schedules plans and milestones.
- Oversee program financials including monthly actuals manpower forecasting reporting variance justification and generating Government spend plans.
- Monitor cost and schedule of program including managing risk and opportunities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal and external customers providing regular program status reports to stakeholders.
- Assist the Government team in technical evaluation of inprogress and proposed engineering maintenance and RDT&E efforts.
