Job Overview:
This position involves supporting the engineering programming and commissioning of lowvoltage systems for fire alarm building automation and security applications. Ideal for candidates with a mix of field and programming experience in structured environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply technical knowledge to engineer program and commission Fire BAS and Security systems.
- Support small to medium projects through final signoff ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on lowvoltage systems during startup and commissioning phases.
- Visit job sites to perform system checkouts and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with field technicians and project teams to ensure system functionality aligns with design intent.
- Maintain project documentation and provide support during the punch list and closeout stages.
Qualifications:
- 13 years of experience in fire alarm security or BAS systems.
- Proficiency with system software diagnostic tools and basic networking.
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience using standard hand/power tools.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites.
