About the Role
Batteries Plus is looking for an Accounting Tax & Compliance Intern to support our accounting team with sales tax preparation multistate compliance and research. This is a great opportunity for a detailoriented numberssavvy student who wants handson experience in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate customer exemption certificates.
- Assist in preparing sales tax returns.
- Conduct taxrelated research and analyze regulations.
- Support multistate tax compliance and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on accounting and compliance projects.
- Perform administrative duties as needed to keep things running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Basic understanding of tax laws and regulations or a strong willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for learning and tackling new challenges.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This role involves working at a desk with regular use of computers and office equipment.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Office setting is generally quiet while the warehouse may have a moderate to loud noise level.
- The warehouse environment is not climatecontrolled so temperatures may vary.
