Job Description
Position: Traffic Control Manager
Our client is a leading supplier of Traffic Control Services Safety Equipment and Apparel Sensors and Traffic related products in the Pacific Northwest Region. They are seeking a Traffic Control Manager to oversee the daytoday operations of the Traffic Control ITS and Rental departments. This role will require strong leadership skills excellent relationshipbuilding capabilities effective communication and sound judgement. The successful candidate will enjoy a fastpaced work environment and the opportunity to make significant contributions to the companys operations.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Traffic Control Supervisors to ensure seamless communication between office and field activities.
- Monitor the traffic control schedule continuously through dispatch.
- Set up and supervise work zones per the traffic control plan as required.
- Ensure field crew maintains appropriate training and applicable certificates.
- Participate in industryrelated seminars meetings and training to ensure uptodate best practices.
- Assist and follow up on quoted projects for traffic control rental sales and ITS Solutions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships ensuring issues are dealt with promptly.
- Responsible for recruitment scheduling performance management and policy adherence.
- Be willing to travel to WA/OR/MT/WY/ID to assist with growth sales planning and large projects.
- Hold a valid passport with the willingness and ability to travel to Canada.
- Ensure LEAN and 6S (Six Sigma) are being executed on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass MVR screening.
- Ability to operate a forklift is desired.
- Ability to pull and back up trailermounted equipment.
- Traffic Control Supervisor certification preferred but equivalent experience in road construction relating to traffic control may be considered.
- Ability to undergo and pass a preemployment Drug and Alcohol screening and Fit Test.
- Approximately 510 years progressive experience in the Traffic/Transportation industry is required.
- Approximately 510 years leadership experience is required.
- Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook is required.
- Previous project management experience.
- Previous experience in a LEAN/6S environment is a bonus!
