Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competence in the skills (critical thinking interpersonal and technical) necessary to carry out assigned duties.
  • Recognizes and responds to patients physical mental emotional and developmental needs that need to be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served appropriately.
  • Assesses comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation and completes initial assessment within 24 hours of admission or established policy time frame if sooner.
  • Encourages feedback from the patient families/significant others peers and other disciplines regarding perception of care provided to patients and utilizes feedback to improve patient care practices.
  • Acts as resource person in the subspecialty of radiation outpatient oncology.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and answers patient questions.
  • Confirms scheduled appointments.
  • Projects positive flexible attitude and communications in order to meet patients needs.

Qualifications

Education: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.

Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois

Oncology Certification preferred.

Current CPR Certification.

Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for workrelated reasons.
