Job Description

The Drr Group is one of the worlds leading mechanical and plant engineering firms. Products systems and services offered by Drr enable highly efficient manufacturing processes in different industries. Business with automobile manufacturers and their suppliers accounts for approximately 60 of Drrs sales. Other market segments include for example the mechanical engineering chemical and pharmaceutical industries and the woodworking industry. The Drr Group operates in the market with five divisions:


  • Paint and Final Assembly Systems: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industry
  • Application Technology: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesives
  • Measuring and Process Systems: balancing and cleaning systems as well as testing and filling technology
  • Clean Technology Systems: exhaustair purification systems and energyefficiency technology
  • Woodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery for the woodworking manufacturing industry.

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Purchasing Excellence Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in defining and implementing standard processes procedures and best practices in line with company guidelines. The successful candidate will support the organization in meeting customer requirements ensuring compliance with international laws and achieving company certificates in 3rd party standards. Additionally the role will involve defining and standardizing reporting processes as per management direction using available tools. Job Description:

As a part of the Shared ServicesPurchasing group the team member will participate in a variety of types of projects. This includes Paint Shop Construction Conveyor Robot Application and Pollution Control equipment fabrication and installation.

  • Align define and standardize purchasing processes and procedures according to company guidelines
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in purchasing activities
  • Support in meeting international laws related to purchasing and supply chain activities
  • Work towards achieving company certificates in 3rd party standards related to purchasing excellence
  • Define and standardize reporting processes and tools per direction from Management (i.e. Dashboards automations SRM tools etc.
  • Utilize available tools and systems to create and maintain standardized reports and best practices for purchasing activities
  • Support in completion of Sustainability requirements and compliance including supplier communication follow up escalation and conveying progress to management
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support purchasing activities
  • Travel 25 or more as needed

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 3 years Purchasing experience if possible in the automotive environment
  • Bachelors degree Supply chain/logistics engineering construction management or equivalent experience
  • Good organization and time management skills ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing work assignments.
  • Professional experience in an Englishspeaking environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with pivot tables macros PowerBI preferred
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Good communication skills capable of facilitating and documenting meetings
  • Experience in preparing meeting agendas coordinating schedules and sending out necessary materials in advance.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of job incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.
