- Bachelors Degreein Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu ofdegree high school diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of or experiencewith conveyance automatic sortation equipment material handling equipmentand product storage systems a plus.
- Fluency withMicrosoft Office including Access and Project.
- Ability todevelop and present solutions that add value to the customer (external orinternal).
- Experiencedeveloping productivity metrics and reporting tools.
- Ability toidentify design and develop engineering tools.

GeneralSummary.
The ContinuousImprovement Design Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving currentwork processes and layouts recommending and specifying automated equipmentmeasuring and documenting best practices implementing lean practices andprovides assistance to our new business development team.
This position will beresponsible for..
- Reviewinglogistics operations documenting product and information flow in currentoperations using tools including value stream maps process flow diagrams andAutoCAD drawings; reviewing order volume and storage volume data to supportoperational decisions.
- Coordinateproductivity improvement projects across industry operations.
- Integrate QDMrequirements and leverage enterprise capabilities.
- Assessesstrengths and gaps of functional application of QDM methodologies.
- Developingrecommendations for process improvements suggesting and specifyingtechnological upgrades/ automation of existing processes and equipment; andsupporting the implementation of the recommendations.
- Presenting theanalysis and solutions to Customers with the project team members.
- Providing supportin data management and reporting.
- Developing toolsto automate the engineering processes.
- Supportingfacilities with analytics and finances to better understand what areas needimproved.
