Why Youll Love This Role

The Systems Analyst student will play a key role in Lumentums upcoming transition to a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. This position is part of the Business Systems team and contributes directly to the success of our master data migration and system transformation initiatives. The intern will assist with cleansing validating and preparing tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data being transferred. Additionally they will coordinate process documentation and engage with crossfunctional teams to streamline data and minimize disruption. This role offers handson exposure to business systems data governance and change management practices within a global technology organization while also providing the intern with valuable experience in crossfunctional communication and collaboration.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Support data cleansing and validation activities to prepare for ongoing improvement projects and ultimately migration to a new PLM system.
• Coordinate with crossfunctional teams (e.g. R&D Operations IT) to collect verify and organize data and documentation.
• Document key business processes and workflows to support system transition efforts and knowledge retention.
• Contribute to data mapping exercises and assist in identifying discrepancies duplicates and outdated entries in existing systems.
• Support change management and communication efforts to help teams adapt to new processes and tools.
• Collaborate with the Business Systems team to provide administrative support for project meetings documentation and reporting.

What Were Looking For

Education:

• Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in information systems Computer Science Engineering Business Analytics or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong written verbal and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables lookups etc. and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify trends inconsistencies or quality issues.
• Wellorganized with good time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Basic understanding of data management principles and familiarity with data cleansing or migration practices is an asset as is exposure to PLM or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA Confluence or Visio is a plus.

Certifications (if applicable):

• Not required but certifications or coursework in data analytics PLM/ERP/MES systems or project coordination are considered assets.
