Position Summary

  • Supports monthend processes for General Ledger accounting function including but not limited to inventory analysis booking of journal entries and preparation of reconciliation of ledger accounts.
  • Participates in monthly Financial Statement Reviews.
  • Assists with financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet Income Statement Statement of Cash Flows) and prepare flux analysis.
  • Prepares monthly financial statement upload for Airbus Group Reporting 3 day close).
  • Assist with tax filings not addressed by the US Consolidated Tax Team including monthly VAT return (France) and Tangible Personal Property (Florida).
  • Reconcile raw materials semifinished works in progress and finished goods inventories to general ledger.
  • Supports Indirect Rate allocation which include Fringe Benefit Service Center Allocation and G&A as part of Month end close process.
  • Participates in annual Internal Control Self Assessments and address deficiencies as needed.
  • Supports implements and executes complex and new accounting processes particularly surrounding the companys inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Participates in Corporate initiatives including but not limited to alignment of policies merging of systems and reporting platforms and development of processes.
  • Partners with Supply Chain and Accounts Payable to track and monitor prepaid expenses by supplier including the monthly preparation of the prepaid reconciliation.
  • Determines accounting treatment for changes to supplier contracts. Completes reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts including the calculation of the current and noncurrent split where applicable.
  • Works with US Consolidation Tax Team to prepare AUSF tax provision and deferred tax package.
  • Assists with ad hoc projects and assist management on all accounting activities.
  • Prepares key schedules used for accounting audit tax and external reporting.
  • Support complex accounting transactions including investment pension etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting CPA Preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (cost accounting/manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP; Working knowledge of IFRS and Manufacturing Accounting concepts

Knowledge Skills Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problemsolving skills including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
  • Professional team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Advanced excel skills required
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office (including Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP (preferred)

Travel Required:

  • Ability to travel internationally

Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
