We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in welding thin metals reading blueprints and maintaining high standards of safety and precision. Youll work on a variety of fabrication and assembly projects ensuring strong clean and highquality welds.



  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum stainless steel and other alloys according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment including torches jigs and clamps.
  • Inspect and test welds to ensure structural soundness and quality.
  • Maintain tools equipment and welding workspace in clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols including proper use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with fabricators engineers and other team members to ensure project completion.
  • Record and report completed work materials used and any issues encountered.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar role.
  • Proficient in welding stainless steel aluminum and other metals.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • High school diploma or GED; vocational training or welding certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Certification
  • Experience with other welding methods (MIG Stick) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fabrication equipment (grinders saws presses etc..


The dress code for a TIG welder is centered around safety functionality and comfort. Heres a typical breakdown of what a TIG welder should wear on the job:


TIG Welder Dress Code

1. FlameResistant (FR) Clothing

  • Welding Jacket or Shirt: Made from leather or flameresistant materials like treated cotton (e.g. FR cotton). Long sleeves to protect from sparks and UV radiation.
  • Pants: Durable nonsynthetic flameresistant pants (no cuffs to catch sparks). Jeans or FR work pants are common.
  • No synthetic fabrics (like polyester or nylon) as they can melt and cause severe burns.

2. Welding Gloves

  • Highquality TIG welding gloves with good dexterity and heat resistance usually made of goat or cowhide.
  • TIG gloves are typically thinner than MIG gloves to allow for precision work.

3. Footwear

  • Steeltoe or compositetoe boots.
  • Heatresistant leather work boots with slipresistant soles are preferred.
  • Avoid sneakers or anything with exposed fabric.

4. Eye & Face Protection

  • Welding Helmet with appropriate shade lens (usually Shade 913 for TIG).
  • Safety glasses with side shields underneath the helmet for extra protection.

5. Additional PPE

  • Welding Cap or Bandana under the helmet to protect from sparks and absorb sweat.
  • Hearing protection if working in a loud shop.
  • Respirator or dust mask if working in enclosed spaces or with hazardous materials.
