Associate Manager Forensic Investigations and Intelligence

The Associate Manager is a varied role within the Financial Investigations Practice based in London. As an Associate Manager you will be responsible leading an aspect of a large investigation or be responsible for the day to day analysis and investigation on a smaller scale investigation reporting to a more senior case manager. Day to day responsibilities will include conducting research and analysis of client internal data sets and structuring and presenting findings for case managers. This is a client facing role and as such you will be expected to be conscious of the need to build and retain key relationships and exceed in meeting the clients needs whilst ensuring that the Kroll brand remains intact at all times.

Due to the range of cases that you will manage across various industrysectors and country locations a key interest in global events and markets with an awareness of working across different cultural and political environments is essential. Due to the global reach of our business the ability to read and write in a second language is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To gain a deep understanding of case and client needs through discussions directly with the client and by taking direction from a senior member of the Financial Investigations Practice.
  • Examine and interpret case related information to produce indepth and detailorientated analysis identifying further research that needs to be carried out in discussion with a senior case manager and what leads need to be investigated to support case development.
  • Ability to analyze and interrogate large amounts of financial data and present findings coherently using Excel and other related analytical tools.
  • Write well structured logical and objective reports which present the research in a client focused manner and address the clients central questions and concerns.
  • Support case work by using Excel and PowerPoint to provide diagrammatic and pictorial explanations to present key findings and patterns identified in the investigation.
  • Effectively feed back case findings to senior members of the practice and monitor quality of own work product and conduct followups with peers or more junior case staff where necessary.
  • Support the growth of the Financial Investigations Practice through involvement in noncase related projects and initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across Krolls network of offices and various business practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong academic background
  • Professional certification (or near qualified) such as ACCA ACA or equivalent
  • Experience in an audit or consulting role in a professional services firm an investigative/research organization or a regulatory body
  • Experience of cross border investigative/research or commercial transactions
  • Experience in a reputable professional or financial services firm or from an investigative/research intensive organization.
  • Proven quantitative analytical and problemsolving capabilities
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills with proven experience in using Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to drive forward and coordinate a number of concurrent projects and tasks managing competing demands.
  • Intellectually curious and adept at navigating ambiguity.
  • Clarity of thought and expression to win confidence from key stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate in both a verbal and written format to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail.
  • The position may require extensive travel both nationally and internationally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
  • Experience working with diverse teams.
