Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support event planning for College Awards Wine and Cheese Event and conferences supported by the Office of the Dean
Coordinating the Deans Advising Council meetings providing essential support for proposed initiatives.
Work directly with DAC members to facilitate successful initiatives following up as appropriate.
Manage and staff the Deans Speaker Series every Friday including speaker coordination meetings poster creation promotion and presentation assistance.
Take charge of program marketing efforts ensuring effective communication and outreach.
Contribute to daytoday college operations providing strategic support and communication.
Assist in various special projects including event coordination recruitment for graduate and undergraduate programs and retention initiatives
Answer phones in the Deans Office during work study/secretarial staff absence directing students appropriately.
Communicate with students via email writing and phone calls.
Provide exemplary customer service to students faculty and staff.
Attend events as requested.
Undertake additional assignments as needed by the Interim Dean and his team.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; acceptance into a Graduate Program
Understanding of and willingness to support Seton Hall Universitys Catholic mission.

Required Skills & Experience:
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Professional demeanor with high levels of tact responsibility proactive thinking and attention to detail.
Excellent social media skills particularly with Instagram and engagement with student trends.
Creativity

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to interpret and analyze data.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
