Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices ensuring accurate and timely payments and maintaining financial records. This role plays a crucial part in our accounting operations and requires a strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review verify and process vendor invoices and expense reports.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Enter and upload invoices into accounting software.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Maintain accurate historical records and documentation.
- Assist with monthend closing and reporting processes.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 13 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. BST QuickBooks SAP Oracle) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment (inperson or hybrid depending on company policy).
- Standard business hours; occasional overtime may be required during closing periods.
