Hours: Full Time

Location: Fully remote. This opportunity is open to you if you can legally work remotely from one of our home countries in Sweden Malta Hungary Spain Poland or The Philippines.

What the role entails:

Some of the key responsibilities of our Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist will be:

    Invoice management & processing

    • Be responsible for the end-to-end AP invoice management and processing
    • Validate invoice data (supplier details reference tax codes) and assign to the correct GL accounts cost centers and projects.
    • Review and post approved invoices into the general ledger.
    • Reconcile payables with supplier statements and suggest write -offs when appropriate

    Approval workflow support

    • Collaborate with departments to drive timely invoice approvals according to company policy.
    • Follow up on pending approvals and escalate discrepancies when needed.

    Communication & coordination

    • Respond to supplier and internal queries (payment status duplicate invoices etc.).
    • Maintain a healthy DPO level aligned with corporate KPIs.

    Closing & Compliance

    • Support monthly and year-end closings including accruals and reconciliations.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations external and internal control requirements.
    • Prepare documentation for audits and maintain a clear audit trail.

    Process Improvements

    • Handle system exceptions suggest automation and process enhancements.
    • Contribute to system implementations and update internal documentation.

    We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. As we transition to a fully automated AP process youll play a key role in fine-tuning workflows and ensuring the smooth processing of supplier invoices across multiple entities.



    What we ask of you:

      Qualifications & Experience

      • 23 years of hands-on AP accounting experience.
      • Solid understanding of IFRS and/or local accounting standards.
      • Strong knowledge of VAT (EU and non-EU invoices).
      • Confident in English (written & spoken); additional languages (e.g. Spanish Polish) are a plus.

      Technical Skills

      • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central).
      • Advanced Excel skills.
      • Familiarity with e-invoicing or invoice workflow tools is an advantage.

      Personal Qualities

      • Accurate and detail-oriented.
      • Proactive and able to work independently.
      • Team player with great communication skills.
      • Comfortable working with digital tools and automation platforms.
