The NCIC is a vital criminal records database that supports law enforcement agencies nationwide in their mission to apprehend fugitives locate missing persons and recover stolen property. This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S preferred location is Fairfax VA; however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Develops creates and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Analyzes and designs databases within an application area working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Researches designs develops and tests operating systemslevel software compilers and network distribution software for medical industrial military communications aerospace business scientific and general computing applications.
Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
Designs embedded systems software.
Applies principles and techniques of computer science engineering and mathematical analysis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Secret security clearance
Proficient with Java ObjectOriented Programming
Experience with Cloudnative architectures
o Eventdriven architectures; streaming (preferred).
Experience with Kubernetes; automating the deployment scaling and management of containerized applications
Experience running GitOps (GitLab Bitbucket ArgoCD Tecton etc.
Experience with large scale systems
Desired qualifications/nonessential skills required:
Experience with Apache Kafka
o Pub/Sub (Publish subscribe).
o Streaming experience
o Event sourcing
Experience with OpenTelemetry
Experience with AWS
Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira Confluence Bitbucket) is a plus
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for meritbased performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85800.00 $185800.00.
