Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford Proving Grounds three times per week at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.
The Role:
Vehicle Mechatronics Embedded Controls (VMEC) Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) department is responsible for endtoend Controls for all PHEV GM Vehicles; our product scope covers requirement setting controls diagnostics SW calibration development and deployment. We are looking Engineering Group Manager for PHEV Thermal Software team that leads the requirements controls diagnostics and software development in the Thermal domain to ensure GMs ability to execute our various PHEV products!

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):
Enable selforganizing empowered teams to deliver software product ontime with quality help develop actionable strategy and support in an agile framework across multiple domains
Foster an environment for highperforming team dynamics continuous flow and relentless improvement
Mentor coach and develop employees and their careers
Establish and monitor budget for responsible activities
Execute resource planning for required activities
Model and foster GMs Core Values and Winning Behaviors
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Bachelor of Science in Engineering to include Mechanical Electrical Computer Science Computer Engineering and Mathematics.
Minimum 7 years of engineering experience related to embedded control system calibration related hardware and/or safety critical system development
Demonstrated results in successful project
Excellent multifunctional communication and leadership skills able to get multiple teams moving in the same direction
Demonstrated ability to Deal with Ambiguity while driving timely decision making
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Master of Science in Engineering and/or Master of Business Administration
10 years of engineering experience related to embedded control system calibration related hardware and/or safety critical system development
Leadership experience of teams of engineers responsible for developing or testing embedded control systems or related hardware
Demonstrated ability to: achieve results through effective teamwork lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion and manage and measure work through metrics data and results
Prior experience in propulsion domains
Experience managing a global team that is geographically dispersed
Working knowledge of embedded controls development tool set (e.g. IBM Rational Tool Suite Jira/Jama Git ecosystem MatLabSimulink ETAS)
