Physician Division Chief Ambulatory Neurology Grand Rapids MI
The neurosciences clinical service line within the Corewell Health Medical Group in Grand Rapids Michigan offers an excellent opportunity for a fulltime board certified neurologist to lead in the role of ambulatory neurology division chief. Reporting to the vice president/service line chief the division chief leads all subspecialties of outpatient adult neurology. This leader will provide oversight to a team comprised of general and subspecialty neurology providers in our Grand Rapids and West Michigan regional locations.
As division chief you would maintain a clinical practice and have dedicated time to lead your team while partnering with the director of operations and APP director on division and operational strategies. The ideal candidate has 4 years of leadership experience and has practiced within a large health system or academic institution. A clinical interest in behavioral neurology/dementia is a plus but not required.
About the Ambulatory Neurology Division:
Large subspecialty division with approximately 30 physicians and 18 APPs with continued growth
Well established clinical expertise in Epilepsy Movement Disorders Headache Neuroimmunology Cognitive Neurology Neuromuscular and General Neurology
Hub & Spoke model of general neurology care delivery with specialty APPs serving in regional locations
Neurology residency program with 6 residents per year along with Epilepsy and Vascular Neurology fellowship programs
Academic appointment opportunity through Michigan State Universitys College of Human Medicine
Highly collaborative service line with 6 large divisions: Ambulatory Neurology Inpatient Neurology Neurosurgery Neuropsychology Spine and PM&R
Established Centers of Excellence in Parkinsons Epilepsy EMG Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke
Cognitive Neurology provides multidisciplinary care which includes a dedicated geriatrician pharmacist and neuropsychologist
Select Responsibilities include:
Leading the division through system changes and growth
Advancing quality safety and clinical innovation
Supporting your team in desired areas of professional development
Managing the division budge in collaboration with your operations director dyad
Managing academic and faculty affairs as needed
Recruiting physicians and APPs to the division
Collaborating with the department chief on annual goals
