At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a noncitizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to competently perform the journey level skills and duties of this position.Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the practices tools equipment and materials used in repairing mechanical equipment; and the functions and operating principles of a wide variety of mechanical equipment including electric motors gasoline and diesel engines. Such experience must also have demonstrated the ability to: recognize defects in mechanical equipment and take corrective action; and use and maintain hand and power tools used in the mechanical trades.
Examples of Qualifying Experience: automotive mechanic heavy vehicle/fleet mechanic generator mechanic marine engine mechanic small engine mechanic utility mechanic similar experience repairing and maintaining 2 and 4 cycle engines.Preferred Experience: small engine repair experience.LICENSE REQUIREMENT:Possession of an appropriate valid drivers license as required. The current vacancy requires a valid automobile/Type 3 drivers license prior to appointment.Examination Process
