The Senior PLC Engineer position in a few words:
Mainly responsible for project PLC programming and optimization automation system development reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design programming and debugging of nonstandard automated equipment in the field of consumer electronics including PLC control systems HMI interfaces and motion control modules.
- Customize solutions based on customer requirements to optimize equipment efficiency and stability (OEE85.
- PLC Programming and Optimization
- Proficient in programming of mainstream PLC series such as Inovance and Omron (structured text/ladder diagram) and familiar with the IEC 611313 standard.
- Develop standardized functional modules to shorten the project cycle by 20 to 30 and support rapid equipment iteration.
- Crossdepartmental collaboration and customer connection
- Collaborate with the mechanical and electrical teams to complete the integration of the entire machine and lead the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Field Acceptance Test).
- Directly connect with European and American customers participate in English technical meetings and write technical documents in both Chinese and English (such as function manuals and test reports).
- Technical support and problemsolving
- Analyze the operation data of the equipment quickly locate and solve onsite faults (MTTR4 hours).
- Provide aftersales technical support optimize equipment maintenance strategies and reduce downtime.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate in a few words:
- Education: Bachelors degree or above majoring in Electrical engineering automation mechatronics or related fields.
- Experience: More than 5 years of experience in PLC development in the nonstandard automation field having led at least 3 complete projects (preferred in the consumer electronics industry).
- Logical thinking able to adapt to fastpaced work and business trips for projects.
- Technical requirements
- EtherCAT Profinet and other industrial communication protocols.
- Proficient in Inovance and Omron PLC programming and familiar with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT and Profinet.
- Be familiar with the integrated application of machine vision (such as Keyence Cognex) and servo systems (such as Yaskawa Panasonic).
- Those who understand the integration of MES systems and have basic capabilities in industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) are preferred.
- Language ability
- CET6 or equivalent level in English capable of conducting technical communication and document writing fluently (English project cases need to be provided).
