Job Description

Internal Job Title: Senior Software Developer
Job Type: Permanent FullTime
Job Location: 421 Bay Street Sault Ste. Marie ON
Work Model: Hybrid

 

Position Summary 

As a Senior Software Developer in our BLAST Gaming group you will lead the design development and maintenance of complex BLAST software applications. This role is ideal for an experienced developer with strong technical skills and a passion for mentoring others. The successful candidate will work on various stages of the software development lifecycle provide technical leadership and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality software solutions.

 

Responsibilities

Software Development

  • Lead the design development and maintenance of software applications.
  • Write clean efficient and welldocumented code.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality.

Technical Implementation

  • Implement software solutions based on technical specifications.
  • Integrate software components and thirdparty programs.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues.

Collaboration

  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate developers.
  • Work closely with other developers designers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.
  • Seek feedback and continuously improve technical skills.

Various other Duties and Responsibilities


Qualifications :

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A ITIL Foundation Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate Certified Scrum Master are assets.

Knowledge

  • Extensive understanding of software development principles methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages (e.g. C# C NodeJS Python).
  • Indepth knowledge of software development tools and frameworks.
  • Advanced understanding of database management systems and cloud technologies.

Experience

  • 8 years of experience in software development or a related role.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Technical Environment

  • Frameworks and Libraries:  .NET React/Redux
  • Databases: SQL NoSQL
  • Cloud Technologies: Azure AWS
  • Testing and Debugging: Jest xUnit Postman Selenium Locust

Mandatory Requirements

  • Language: Fluency in English (reading writing speaking)
