The Free Clinic of Central Virginia (FCCV) is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director who is passionate about providing highquality compassionate healthcare for every member of the Central Virginia community. The Executive Director is a community leader who collaborates with other professionals to address the pressing healthcare needs of uninsured and underinsured individuals in Central Virginia. You will work with a talented and committed staff volunteers and board members to continue the growth and evolution of the Free Clinics services.
The Organization
The Free Clinic of Central Virginia is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical and dental care to uninsured and underinsured individuals since its inception. Our mission drives our innovative approach to providing comprehensive healthcare services. We offer a range of programs including medical and dental care all designed to maximize the health and wellbeing of those we serve. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization and help shape its future.
The Free Clinic brings people together to build inclusive communities and hope for individuals who lack access to healthcare. The organization is poised to increase its impact through various programs and partnerships within the community.
The management team is diligently working towards goals that address issues common to the sector such as compliance with regulations program expansion and strengthening the organizational infrastructure to enable future growth.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Management
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop refine and implement the strategic plan ensuring alignment of budget staff and priorities with the Free Clinics mission and growth objectives.
- Ensure ongoing program excellence comprehensive program evaluation and a consistent focus on improving finance and administration fundraising communications and systems.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers board members partner organizations and the community to advance the Free Clinics mission.
- Lead mentor and develop staff and volunteers to deliver highquality patient care and effective programs. Promote a culture of diversity equity and inclusion that attracts retains and motivates a dedicated team.
Fundraising Partnerships and Community Engagement
- Ensure the financial sustainability of the Free Clinic through diversified revenue streams including individual donors community partners foundations corporations and government agencies.
- Develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies and campaigns that build brand awareness strengthen donor relationships and increase revenue.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations healthcare providers educational institutions and other stakeholders to expand services and impact.
- Actively represent the Free Clinic in local state and national forums building the organizations visibility and credibility as a leader in community healthcare and advocacy.
Operational Excellence and Compliance
- Oversee the delivery of highquality healthcare services ensuring that current and future growth is managed effectively and efficiently.
- Standardize and optimize operations by developing implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that drive consistency accountability and excellence across all programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal state and local regulations as well as Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics Membership Standards.
- Oversee financial management including budgeting financial planning and risk management ensuring robust financial controls and transparency.
Human Resources
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to oversee aspects of human resources including recruitment onboarding training and development performance management compensation and benefits employee relations and legal and regulatory compliance.
Immediate Priorities for the New Executive Director
- Recovering from a recent fire and positioning the clinic for future growth.
- Increasing funding and financial sustainability.
- Maintaining and/or expanding healthcare services.
- Enhancing community partnerships and increasing visibility.
- Implementing innovative healthcare programs.
- Improving operational efficiency.
- Addressing the need for additional fundraising personnel and administrative support staff.
- Developing a clear strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Directors.
- Revising the organizational structure to ensure capacity to meet FCCVs needs.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be passionate about the Free Clinics mission. The following qualifications are important:
- Bachelors degree required; a graduate degree in Business Administration Public Health Healthcare Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a senior leadership role within a healthcare or nonprofit organization with demonstrated experience managing and leading teams.
- Strong background in organizational development strategic planning and financial management with experience driving operational efficiencies and managing budgets.
- Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders build strategic partnerships and foster community relationships to enhance organizational impact.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising grant writing and development with a strong track record of securing and managing grants from government and private funders.
- Passionate commitment to serving vulnerable populations and advancing health equity with experience in working with community health centers or free clinics preferred.
- Strong communication negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A dynamic leader who is proactive innovative and adept at change management.
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit management.
- Strategic planning and financial management skills.
- Community engagement and partnership building abilities.
- Leadership and team development capabilities.
- Knowledge of the local community and strong networking skills.
Location:
This position is an onsite position located in burg Virginia with visibility expected in the Free Clinics internal and external community. Some travel may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $95000 to $105000 annual salary
