Saddlehill Cellars in Voorhees NJ is looking to hire a fulltime or parttime Prep Cook Dishwasher. We pay competitively and provide great benefits including bonus opportunities health benefits and a 401K plan with generous employer match. We are open 5 days a week serving lunch and dinner.
ABOUT SADDLEHILL
Nestled in the heart of suburban New Jersey a mere 12 miles from the vibrant pulse of Philadelphia Saddlehill sits as an oasis spanning over 70 acres of vineyards and preserved farmland. Opening Spring 2024 our spacious tasting room overlooks the vineyards farm horse pastures and flower gardens. Saddlehill has become a distinguished destination with a 175seat farmtotable kitchen and tasting room. Opening for lunch and dinner our establishment will serve menu items crafted primarily from farmproduced ingredients. As part of our retail offerings we will sell our estatecrafted wines and a variety of foods made from ingredients grown onsite including jams sauces spreads and honey. We strive to make the tasting room a beautiful place for our customers to unwind and enjoy worldclass wine and food pairings.
PREP COOK DISHWASHER RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes tableware glassware pots pans utensils and equipment through manual and machine cleaning methods while actively participating in the cleaning and maintenance of all building areas. This includes sing and sorting dishes before loading them into the dishwasher monitoring dish machine water temperature unloading and properly storing items and maintaining cleanliness and safety in all work areas. You perform basic prep work sweep and scrub kitchen floors remove garbage and maintain adequate levels of detergents and cleaning supplies. Additionally you stock supplies in the kitchen and storage areas move supplies or equipment as needed and report any dishwashing machine faults to management. You handle glassware to prevent breakage polish glass and stemware attend staff meetings and clean and maintain all restrooms. Exhibiting hospitality and providing a positive guest experience during interactions is essential. You follow all company policies procedures and guidelines including being ready to work at your scheduled shift time in uniform with a neat and presentable appearance and perform all other reasonably assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience as a dishwasher or prep cook
- Experience working in high volume fast paced restaurant environment (preferred)
- Working knowledge of health regulations sanitation procedures
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Basic knife skills and/or a willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic team player and exceptional guest service skills
- Aptitude to resolve problems
- Polished presentation
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including standing/walking bending pulling pushing using stairs lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds
