Summary of Job Duties:
The Advanced Practice Nurse will assist surgeon with clinic organizing visits and performing clinic procedures assist in the operating room answer pages and round on postoperative patients on a daily and PRN basis. The APRN will be responsible for managing care of outpatients postoperatively answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. The APRN must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in nursing
- 2 years nursing experience preferred
- BLS required
- Valid AR nursing license: APRN license
Additional Information:

- Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others.
- Collaborates in policy and program development implementation and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.
- Collaborates with a variety of health care professionals to diagnose and manage patients health care problems serving as a resource interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
- Manages post procedure immunosuppression and labs of patient in coordination with physician and pharmacist.
- Coordinates specialized multidisciplinary care and facilitates consults of patients to assure timely and appropriate treatment.
- Provides comprehensive health assessments determines diagnoses implements treatment plans prescribes medical treatments and manages health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician.
- Performs other duties as needed.
