Clinical Pharmacy Manager Memorial Regional Medical Center

Job Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for leading the daily and administrative functions of pharmacy services programs and personnel throughout BSMH. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager position provides direction and leadership to ensure the organization delivers great patient care and improved population health within an efficient cost structure while improving the worklife of staff. In addition the Clinical Pharmacy Manager facilitates communication coordination and collaboration among disciplines regarding identification planning and provision of highquality costeffective care.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and lead the provision of safe timely efficient equitable effective and patientcentered pharmacy patient care services and operations for areas of responsibility
  • Ensure safety in the medication use process for areas of responsibility
  • Develop and/or maintain operational policies and procedures. 4. Maximize the efficiency of associated pharmacy programs
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory and accreditation bodies for areas of responsibility
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. (required)
  • Pharmacy Residency (preferred not required)

Licensure/Certification:

  • Pharmacist Licensure State Board of Pharmacy (required)
  • BPS Board Certification (preferred not required)

Experience:

  • 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience (required)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position including excellent communication customer service continuous quality improvement relationship development and decision making
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment
