KBR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to support the Dragonfly mission for KBRs Science and Space Division. The Dragonfly Lander is a carsized nuclearpowered octocopter. It is scheduled to launch in 2026 and arrive at Titan in 2034. It will study that ocean world and collect scientific findings that could change our understanding of life in the universe. Titan is a cryogenic environment making the thermal insulation and thermal testing development of this program extremely important. Were looking for help on two tasks: the first is foam and the second is what we call the DTM meaning the Development Test Module. Although different tasks they are adjacent and collaborative.
The work will be performed at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel MD.

Basic Compensation:
$95300.00 $143000.00
The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidates working location knowledge skills and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
