The Department of Theatre and Dance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a coordinatortrack faculty position #130410 in costuming at the rank of instructor. The start date for the position is August 1 2025.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to teaching studio and academic courses such as Introduction to Costumes Makeup Techniques and Theatre Appreciation; supervising student designers/technologists for six mainstage theatre and dance productions annually; serving as a cutter for departmental productions; and coordinating and overseeing the of all MTSU Theatre and Dance costume and makeup needs.
A masters degree in theatre or a closely related field is required by the appointment date. A bachelors degree in theatre or a closely related field with two 2 years of directly related industry experience in costuming may be considered in lieu of a masters degree.
Applicants with previous university teaching experience in costuming and those with a secondary focus in makeup/wigs or a closely related area will receive special consideration.
