Since 1971 HamptonNewport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of highquality essential and communitybased services to citizens of the Peninsula who are living with a mental illness developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.
As an Employment Services Coordinator you will play a key role in transforming lives by assessing clients vocational skills and connecting them with meaningful work opportunities. Youll leverage your expertise in case management to guide clients through all stages of their vocational journey. This will include assessing clients needs and developing customized vocational placement plans providing supportive counseling and onthejob training supervision offering rehabilitative and habilitative vocational training to clients living with mental health and cooccurring disorders navigating governmental regulations related to the employment of individuals with disabilities to ensure access to the best resources conducting individual and group training sessions to enhance skills and foster independence and maintaining accurate client records while contributing to the overall success of the program.
Were looking for someone with a strong background in Human Services and case management. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in human services (e.g. Social Work Psychology or Counseling) along with at least one year of experience in case management and vocational training specifically working with adults with mental health and cooccurring disorders. You must also hold Board of Counseling certification as a Qualified Mental Health ProfessionalAdult (QMHPA) and have proficiency in using case management software to maintain and analyze client data. A valid state Drivers License is required to facilitate travel between client locations.
