**This position is located in Philadelphia PA**
What Youll Be Doing:
- Removes ships main propulsion machinery including turbine generators internal combustion engines reduction gears propeller shafts pumps valves auxiliary engines ordnance machinery and other shipboard components.
- Duties may also include work on hydraulic actuators boat davits capstans windlasses and auxiliary cranes.
- Installing blanks to shipboard piping locating repairing and isolation leaks to systems and hull.
- Removing interference to including system components ducking and bulkheads to support work.
- Knowledge and experience with various mechanical tools including electrical and pneumatic.
What Youll Need to Succeed:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Four 4 years of relevant ship or industrial mechanic machinist experience.
- Must have a valid drivers license and qualify to operate government/company vehicles in accordance with the Corporate Fleet Vehicle Safety Manual.
Preferred:
- Four 4 years of experience serving in a Navy Engineering rating.
