Job Description
Position Title: Assistant Professor (Data Analytics)

Position Summary: Washburn Universitys Greg and Ronda Brenneman School of Business in Topeka Kansas invites applications for an assistant professor of business data analytics for a tenuretrack appointment effective Fall 2025. Applicants specializing in any area of Data Science are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Brenneman School of Business serves more than 600 BBA MBA and MAcc students through its AACSBaccredited programs. In January 2027 the school will move into a newly renovated academic building the $43 million Advisors Excel Hall.
The standard School teaching load for tenuretrack faculty is three courses per semester. Summer teaching and research support is available. The School provides robust professional development and research support including financial databases software and generous travel funding.

Essential Functions:
Teaching a variety of data analytics and related courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Commitment to scholarly and service activities commensurate with AACSB accreditation and school and University expectations.
Additional appropriate jobrelated duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Business Analytics Management Science Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSBaccredited business school. Candidates in the final stages of completing their doctoral work will be considered and must complete their Ph.D. before the end of their first year of employment.
Experience teaching data analytics and related area courses.
Evidence of academic and professional qualifications consistent with AACSB accreditation requirements.
Demonstrated dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage all learners.
Official educational transcripts are required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching courses in business analytics and related areas at the undergraduate or graduate level.
Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI SQL Python and other business analytics tools
