At Aurecon we are looking for a passionate and innovative Lead Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Power Transmission and Distribution team. This role is your chance to work on highimpact cuttingedge projects across Brisbane and beyond designing crucial electrical power distribution infrastructure for some of our most exciting clients.
As part of our Transmission and Distribution practice group youll collaborate with diverse forwardthinking teams taking on fast paced and challenging projects that push the boundaries of whats possible in electrical design.
In a period of significant transformation in Queenslands electricity system youll contribute to the development of stateoftheart power distribution infrastructure that supports the regions evolving energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities to Bring Ideas to Life
In this role you will collaborate with the design team to deliver highquality outcomes with precision efficiency and speed on projects for key clients who own and operate their own private MV networks.
You will utilize advanced digital tools and technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency driving innovation across all phases of the project. Additionally you will contribute to fostering creativity and continuous improvement by offering fresh ideas to streamline project delivery and processes. You will ensure that all designs and drawings meet Aurecons high standards as well as client information management and drafting requirements.
You will also collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders designing fitforpurpose power distribution infrastructure to meet the diverse needs of our clients. In addition you will take on leadership responsibilities by guiding teams overseeing projects from start to finish and ensuring successful delivery. Your role will also involve driving the growth of the business by actively contributing to winning new work and expanding relationships with new and existing clients.
What Were Looking For
We are looking for individuals with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant technical experience in MV design with proven construction site/practical experience providing the essential foundation for designing the infrastructure of tomorrow.
RPEQ or relevant skills and experience to be able to obtain RPEQ is required.
Prior experience in analysis and design for large commercial and industrial facilities is highly valued though we welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds.
